This is a small, very expensive tumbler. I read about the studies that have suggested that tourmaline can have an impact on overall wellness. From looking through the available research, I've concluded that the research is generally inconclusive in terms of having a decisive answer about what benefits, if any, are provided. However, once you taste some water from this thing, you'll realize that it does impart a particular flavor that is honestly quite pleasant. The manufacturers describe it as being akin to the smell of water at the bottom of a waterfall, and that's not too far off the mark. So, drinking water from this is pleasant, as long as you drink not very much or don't mind refilling all the time if you drink a lot of water like I do. 12 ounces is more than you should probably drink when it comes to sugary soft drinks, but 12 ounces of water goes pretty fast. I wish this were a little bigger. I also wish the double-walled construction actually did something as far as temperature retention. I can put iced water in here, and the outside wall still gets condensation and the ice still melts just as fast as if I had put it in a glass. There's no vacuum insulated later here, hence the lack of temperature retention. Still, with such a small quantity, you can usually get your drink down before it gets warm. Hot drinks might be another story since they'll cool really fast depending on the ambient temperature. So, do I recommend it overall? I mean, how much do you believe in the healing powers of tourmaline? If you're sure it'll help you, I guess no price is too high. If you're not so sure, this might be more $$$ than it's worth.
